Edit Your HomepageMore InformationThe Edit Your Homepage tool lets you create and modify a simple homepage. Other members of your course can access your homepage through the Class Roster tool. Every course that you participate in contains a separate homepage that you can individually set up. All of your classmates, not just your instructor, can see your homepage.
Creating a Homepage
From the Course view:
- Click on the Tools link in the navigation menu.
- Click on the Edit Your Homepage link.
- Type information in the Homepage Information fields.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on the Submit button.
Upload a Picture:
- New Image – Use this option to put a personal picture on your homepage.
- Remove this Image – Enable this option to remove your current image.
Favorite Web Sites:
Viewing Your Homepage
- Title, URL, Description – Use these options to create links to your favorite websites on your homepage.
From the Course view:
- Click on the Content Area link where your instructor keeps the Roster tool. (This varies from course to course, but it is usually the Communication area.)
- Click on the Roster link.
- Enter your last name in the Search field.
- Click on the Search button.
- Click on your Name link.
Q: Can I use HTML tags to format text on my home page?
A: Yes, but JavaScript, FORM, and frame tags are disabled.
