Edit Your Homepage

The Edit Your Homepage tool lets you create and modify a simple homepage. Other members of your course can access your homepage through the Class Roster tool. Every course that you participate in contains a separate homepage that you can individually set up. All of your classmates, not just your instructor, can see your homepage.

Creating a Homepage

From the Course view:

  1. Click on the Tools link in the navigation menu.
  2. Click on the Edit Your Homepage link.
  3. Type information in the Homepage Information fields.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on the Submit button.

Viewing Your Homepage

From the Course view:

  1. Click on the Content Area link where your instructor keeps the Roster tool. (This varies from course to course, but it is usually the Communication area.)
  2. Click on the Roster link.
  3. Enter your last name in the Search field.
  4. Click on the Search button.
  5. Click on your Name link.

Q: Can I use HTML tags to format text on my home page?
A: Yes, but JavaScript, FORM, and frame tags are disabled.
