Multiple Course Sections

If you are teaching more than one section of your course (ENGL-0101-01-2082  &  ENGL-0101-04-2082) there are a couple of ways to develop them.

Copy (folder or items from one course to another)

Every time you add a file or folder into your course, a Copy button will be available to you on the right of that item. This will allow you to copy the whole folder or just individual items into a course that you have access to.

From the Control Panel:

  1. Click on the Syllabus, Course Materials, Assignments, or Books, etc., link under the Content Areas section.
  2. Click on the Copy button.
Screen image of the copy button
  3. Choose the Destination Course from the pull down list.
  4. Click on the Browse button on the right of the Destination Folder info box.
Screen image of the copy info
  5. Choose the destination of the item/folder within the Course Map and click on the Submit button.
    Screen image copy / map
  6. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Submit button.
Note: Do not choose to "Delete item after copy?" if you would like your file to remain in the original course.
More Information

Q: When I search the pull down list for the Destination Course, the course I am looking for is not there, why?
A: The courses that are listed within this pull down menu are the courses that you are listed as the instructor of record. Please view more information about Policies and Procedures on instructor access to Blackboard courses.

Q: After I copied the item into my other course, how do I place it in the correct order?
A: The Copy tool will allow you to place the item into a folder, but you will need to access that course to modify the order. From the course use the pull down number menu to reorder the items.
