Import Course CartridgeMore InformationThe Import Course Cartridge tool lets you load academic resources that work with specific textbooks or study guides. They contain a variety of materials that can include slides, documents, multimedia files, test banks, links to related websites, and quizzes. You may use all or some of the cartridge content. You can customize the materials once you download them to a specific course site. Students need to enter a code once, which they can purchase with the textbook, to access a course using a cartridge.
Importing a Course CartridgeFrom the Control Panel:
- Click on the Import Course Cartridge link in the Course Options section.
- Type the Course Cartridge Instructor Download key in the text field.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on the Submit button.
Q: Where do I get a download key?
A: You must get the download keys from the publisher. You can view a list of all available cartridges by clicking on the Course Cartridges Server link that is located in the Import Course Cartridge tool. From there, you can see if there is a cartridge for your particular textbook.
Q: If I load a cartridge into my course, will students need the access key to get to my original materials?
A: Yes, students will need the access key to view all posted materials, whether they are part of the cartridge or not.
Q: Do students need to enter the access key each time they enter the course site?
A: No, students only enter the access key the first time they enter a course site with a cartridge.
Q: Do I have to use everything in the cartridge?
A: No, you can use as much or as little of the cartridge material as you like. You can either remove the extra materials or make them unavailable.
