Gradebook: Assignments

When a Student submits an Assignment it will appear in the Gradebook, where Instructors can access and grade it. Instructors can modify a single Student grade on the Modify Grades page, make notes and add comments for the Student. Students access their grades and comments from the Instructor through the Course Menu.

View / Grade Individual Assignments

From the Control Panel:

1. Select Gradebook link in the Assessment section.
2. Click on the ! symbol in the assignment column next to the students name.
3. Click on the View button on the right.
4. Click on the attached file to download and view.

View Item Grade List
View and modify users' grades.

From the Gradebook:

1. Click on the Assignment (Term Paper) name.
2. Click on the Item Grade List link.

Item Detail
View detailed statistics for the Gradebook item.

From the Gradebook:

1. Click on the Assignment (Term Paper) name.
2. Click on the Item Detail link.

Item Information
Modify the name, description, availability, and other properties of the Gradebook item.

From the Gradebook:

1. Click on the Assignment (Term Paper) name.
2. Click on the Item Information link.

Download All Files
Download files submitted by students for this item.

From the Gradebook:

1. Click on the Assignment (Term Paper) name.
2. Click on the Item Download link.
3. Click on the Check All link.
4. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on the Submit button.
5. Click on the "Download assignments now" link to download the zip file.

Item File Cleanup
Delete files submitted by students for this item.

From the Gradebook:

1. Click on the Assignment (Term Paper) name.
2. Click on the Item Download link.
3. Click on the Check All link.
4. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on the Delete button.
   Note: This is a final removal of this file and it can not be retrieve Make sure you download the file first if you are going to delete it. We recommend that you leave the graded assignment in the gradebook for the full 5 quarters.

More Information

Q: Why do I have two "Item Download" and "File Cleanup" links within my assignment options?
A: When courses are copied (course copy) from on course to another, this is a bug that appears. The links should still work. If not please notify blackboard support.
