What's New?9/17/09: We have purchased Learning Objects' JournalLX and PodcastLX blog and podcast tools for our Blackboard system. Please click on Blog & Podcast Episode links for addtiional information about these tools.
3/27/09: Blackboard version 8 Upgrade. Tutorials for these new tools (Discussion Board, Grade Center, HTML editor, spell checker, and Announcement emails) will be available via this Cal Poly Blackboard Support Site after March 25.

- create an excerise with questions for the assessor
- varitey of grading criteria available, such as; rubrics, full points or partical credit
- monitor the progress os the assessment, download the submissions/results, and apply to the Grade Center
Grade Center (Gradebook):

- assessment, set number of multiple attempts
- all attempts are viewable within the Grade Center
- self assessment options (allow student and faculty to view grade or only allow the student to view grade) Grade not included in the final course grade
- ability to import/export tests and survey’s within the Test and Survey Manager tool
- extra credit, incorrect points are not counted against students
- feedback has been organized to allow more options
- assignment files now include student name, course name, username and date/time
- comments can be added by the instructor for each graded item
HTML Editor: built-in WYSIWYG HTML editor for both Mac and PC and all browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari)
Spell Checker: added to email, glossary and the assignment tool
Announcement Emails: ability to send email to course users when announcements are created
