WHAT IS BEING DONE TO IMPROVE BLACKBOARD SPRING 05 PERFORMANCE?

With Blackboard's recommendations and support, the most recent version of
Blackboard was installed 
during spring break. The new version of Blackboard eliminated the existing
performance issues but 
this pre-public release version injected a number of new issues, which are being
addressed. 

CURRENT ISSUES

The following is a list of known issues with the current version of Blackboard: 

* File Naming: Blank page appears when some files are clicked upon.
* Mime Types: Gibberish page appears when some files are clicked upon.
* Item Ordering: Some folders and items can't be reordered properly.
* Virtual & Lightweight Classroom: The chat tool is inoperative.
* User Role: Students in a course enrolled via POWER cannot retain status of
TA/Instructor role.
